Adams Produce Announces Two New Senior Management Appointments
Birmingham, AL (June 30, 2008) – Adams Produce, a leading fresh produce distributor servicing foodservice customers throughout the Southeast United States, announced today the hiring of Jeff Hall and Tom Travers two industry veterans, to key upper-management positions. Jeff Hall will be joining Adams as the new General Manager of the Jackson, Mississippi Distribution Center. Jeff has over 15-years of total foodservice experience in various management capacities. Jeff has recently worked in the role of Vice President/General Manager for a large regional produce company. Jeff will be responsible for the total operation in Jackson, MS including leading the transition efforts into the new Adams Jackson facility set to open in late 2008. Tom Travers started with Adams on June 2, 2008. Tom joined the Adams Team as the "Value-Added" Director and will be responsible for the entire companies processing, repacking and key operation initiatives. Tom comes to Adams with 20-years of foodservice/ produce experience. Tom’s past experience includes; foodservice operations, fresh-cut processing, repacking and consolidation and most recently worked with a large multi-location grower/shipper as the Operations Director. “We are excited about the opportunity to have such talented and well respected individuals join the Adams Team,” stated Scott Grinstead, Chief Executive Officer of Adams. “Jeff will be leading the Adams Jackson Division which has tremendous growth potential and we look forward to Jeff’s leadership as we build a strong foundation for the future”.
