BIRMINGHAM, AL February 10, 2009 – Adams Produce, a leading fresh produce distribution specialist servicing the Southeastern United States, announced today the completion of a new 18,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Clinton, Mississippi, a suburb of Jackson. Features of the new building include - a total of 5 “racked” coolers with individual temperature zones, separate freezer storage, a completely refrigerated dock, separate tomato and banana rooms, 8 dock doors, increased food safety and security controls and an expanded inventory line of specialty products.

Adams Produce first entered the Jackson market more than 20 years ago and continued to grow the business through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth opportunities. Today the market coverage includes the Greater Jackson area and the cities of Vicksburg and Meridian, MS as well as Northern Louisiana.
